Une Japonaise à Paris since 1995, Nobuko NISHIMURA was born in Japan, in the period of "Woodstock" or Armstrong's first step on the moon. She had graduated fashion at Bunka Fashion Institute (Kenzo Takada, Yoji Yamamoto, Jun Takahashi a.k.a. Undercover etc...) Fashion and vintage clothing was her passion since her teenage, so she chose "Vintage Clothing" as her thesis title for finish the studies. In the early '90, Nobuko started her career as designer at Par Avion Co, Ltd (Tokyo, Los Angeles) then as assistant designer at No.44 (Paris, Tokyo). She had created Vintage Style Collection, and Hand-Made Customized Vintage Pieces, pioneering a world trend of Customized Vintage. Then become a freelance vintage and new designer buyer for several Japanese and American companies. After all these experiences, she opened her own shop, named "Fr/jp design&vintage" at 8, Rue de la Vrillière Paris 1st arrondissement, close to Palais Royal in january 2004. In which she has a collection of 1900-1980, french handmade lace, art nouveau and deco dresses, '60 '70 '80 french designer collection, deadstock "Levi's" jeans, bags, shoes, accessories etc, collector's items. She knows, and propose mixing vintage and current styles, western and oriental, masculine and feminine, simple and decorative… Since opening, Fr/jp design&vintage has inspired many designers, buyers, fashion professional or movie and music crews, and has become a secret spot for parisien, tokyoite, and international customers. |
